STARCO extends agricultural range with MAXAM

STARCO partners with MAXAM Tire International and extends their tyre range within the agricultural implement segment. This enables STARCO to offer OEM customers wheel and tyre solutions for high-speed and heavy-load agricultural trailers and implements.

Recently, the tyre manufacturer MAXAM and STARCO signed a long-term supply agreement – this allows STARCO to extend their product range for wheel and tyre solutions for the growing agricultural segment.

“The new products enable us to offer our existing OEM customers new products for different applications than the ones we supply to today”, says Thomas Ballegaard, Chief Commercial Officer at STARCO. He continues: “MAXAM fits very well into our strategy, where focus is becoming an even stronger partner for our OEM customer.”

The new solutions are primarily for agricultural trailers and implements with more demanding speed and load requirements, than standard wheel and tyre solutions can offer.

We are pleased that the MAXAM flotation range has been recognised for its outstanding quality construction. Key customers have already shown interests and STARCO will receive the first samples in August. The new range will be marketed by STARCO at the agricultural exhibition in Poland, Agro Show in September 2018.

“We are European market-leading in wheel and tyre solutions for high-speed car trailers, compact tractors and dual wheels. Within agricultural implements we experience growth in special solutions for OEMs in the agricultural industry, so I expect us to take a notable market share in these subsegments in the coming years,” states Ballegaard.

STARCO plans to expand their wheel manufacturing capacity to support the growth. The company anticipates growth in all segments, including the Agricultural Implement segment, where STARCO launched two new solutions last year: The innovative HT Pro - a low profile 10-inch solution for hay tedders, and STARCO HS Flotation - a premium 17-inch tyre solution for agricultural implements.
